Minutes of opening meeting for the Mautby
& Runham Parish Plan Steering Committee
Date: 23rd July 2003
Time: 8.00 pm
Place: Runham village hall.
Welcome
Patrick Bucklee welcomed everybody and
explained that the parish council had
suggested the launching of a parish plan. This
would help the parish council to work for the
parishioners and for the parish more
effectively.
Background
Janet Peachy then explained that many other
parishes in Norfolk had carried out this
procedure and found it helpful. The Plan
process is as follows:
 | Form a steering committee. |
| Promote the plan to parishioners at
a future parish function. Ask
parishioners for key concerns,
improvements and "best"
features of the parish. |
| Plan committee generates relevant questionnaire
and circulates |
| Questionnaire information collected,
collated and results published for all
parishioners. |
| Parish Council and other bodies take
directions from the plan survey for
future work. |
Steering Committee
This was formed from those present and
others who had registered interest.

Future plan progress
Patrick Buckley took sample questionnaires
and published plans of other villages and will
get printing quotations.
10th August Village Fete - lobby
parishioners and use aerial map with flag pins
to generate initial response. (Materials -
Display boards, map & pins, tent)
20th August 8.00 pm village hall Runham -
Next meeting of steering committee.
